Lesson: Be patient and persistent. The idea was good just needed time to refine the solution.
Built the tool and got a company using it. Had really promising usage as the company continued to use it for several years. Partner and I never doubled down on figuring out how to get into other companies. Tbh, the solution was really light and with more work and time we probably could've made it stick. Lesson for me has been to stick inside a problem space for longer. You can't produce great value and solutions if you aren't in the space for long enough
